  1. Give Missouri businesses preference when bidding state contracts (HB 1272)

    • Bids must be within 5 percent.
    • Only applies to out-of-state contracts reciprocal agreements.
  2. One Stop Shopping (HB 1777)
       Sponsor: Rep. John Bowman
    • Creates a single point of entry into state government for regulatory and licensing services.
  3. Eliminate sales tax on vehicles made or assembled in Missouri (HB 1249)

  4. Increase minimum wage to a "living wage" (HB 1433)

  5.    Sponsor: Rep. John Bowman
    • Minimum wage would be raised in two phases to $6.50 by August 2007
  6. Create the Fairness for Missouri Business Act (HB 1413)
       Sponsor: Rep. Paul LeVota
    • This bill changes the laws regarding limited liability companies and
      limited liability partnerships.
  7. Allow corporations to biennially file corporate registration report (HB 1524)
       Sponsor: Rep. Sara Lampe
  8. Gasoline sold in Missouri must contain at least 10% ethanol (HB 1027)
       Sponsor: Rep. Martin Rucker
  9. Require developers to comply with tax increment financing (TIF) agreements (HB 1264)
       Sponsor: Rep. Paul LeVota
    • This bill requires developers who violate a TIF agreement in a manner that damages the revenue-generating ability of a business to compensate the affected business for the lost sales revenue.
